2020
In 2020, after the disassembly of the multimedia installation created for the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, which met with great public success, the room is again closed to the public to continue the restoration. Starting from November 2020, the scaffolding will be reassembled to allow to complete and refine the work of removing the remains of the “descialbo” (white paint), under which the remains of Leonardo’s preparatory drawing may still be present, left unfinished due to his escape from Milan following the arrival of the French.
